Soft Book and Water Basin | Lavender Print on Cotton, Gauze, Wax, Water, Various Stones, Steel | Cologne, 2026
The experience of a self-induced hypnotic state led me to a site in Thessaloniki that was once a holy spring. Where water flows uphill and ultimately breaks forth from stone, a space of permeability emerges in which intuition and embodied knowledge can unfold.
Photographs taken along the path to the sacred spring are transferred onto the pages of a soft book with lavender print.
Plants nourished by the spring’s holy water (agiasma) appear on wax-covered cotton. Holding its form without fixing it, the material remains in a continuous state of becoming. Water slowly drips from the textile vessel onto a stone, tracing an ongoing process of transformation.
